Lotus Notes ver 6.5.1 - formatting a computed value field?

Hello.....I have a field on a form described as number/currency, 2 decimal positions, custom formatting selected to show commas as needed....

Directly below this field, I have a computed value field that has the above field as it's value.....but the commas and decimal point do not show on the computed value field when the form is displayed...

What can I do to have the computed value field display with the comma(s) and decimal point?

The field below, is it numeric or text? If numeric, then you can set its properties exactly the same as the first field. If it's text, then use
    @Text(first_field; "C,")
to get a currency format punctuated at thousands. See the Domino Designer Help database on @Text.
