I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have a feeling Crystal Reports can only provide data in the format in which the source data is kept.  If you change the source data that will fix it.  Of course if you are running this straight from a source table then that may not be a feasible exercise, so you may want to use a view as your source and use a CONVERT statement in the SELECT clause to convert your field to numbers.
