how to underline text

How do I underline text in Photoshop 6?

Help says to use the Character window but styles only allow Bold, Regular etc. and there is no underline option.

OK that works!  But why does help say select underline on character properties but it's not on there???

I also searched the help and could not find this shortcut....

Thanks.

Hi Tim,

When your text selected, look in the Character palette. There's a tiny arrow that points to the right; that opens a flyout meny. Faux text formatting options like Underline, Strikethrough and more are located there. These are options that are not part of the font itself, hence called faux.

Good Vibes!
