Alignment in CrystalReports.NET

I have a report that  prints data on a pre printed paper ( the paper has a grid printed on it and the data is printed in the squares)

Each field from the dataset can contain a string OR an asterick. If the value is an asterick(*)/astericks(**) then it should be printed on the top right corner of the square and if it is a value other than asterick then it should be printed in the middle of the square.  Currently the report prints every thing (asterick or other values) in the midle. How can this be accomplished?

The type of field is 'string'
