You have the following option: -

1. Creating an Additional Domain Controller.
2. Using Image Technique.

1. Creating an Additional Domain Controller: -
You could create an additional domain controller for your root domain and then disconnecting it from the network for future use. If anything happens to your production server in future you can make test lab production as a real production server later.

2. Using Image Technique.
Then you could use Image Technique. You will create a Image of the server and restore it to test lab computer. If anything happens to your production system you can restore this image or you can shift test lab computer to production.

Cloning computer: -

You can also take System State backup so you can restore it in future if you find the server corrupted. System State backup contains all user accounts and settings for your server.

Is that you want?
