Running a Server 2003 terminal services environment. In the last couple of days, different users, at different times, are getting the following "User Environment" error message when logging on to the server;
"Windows cannot log you on because your profile cannot be loaded. Check that you are connected to the network, or that your network is functioning properly. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator."
"Detail - The system cannot find the file specified."
This usually happens when the user logs in later in the day, and only happens to 2 or 3 users. I've recieved the error myself, but the system logs me on to a default desktop. All other users are disconnected. Almost all users that recieve the error are fine once I remove their folder under Documents and settings. Loggong in as the user re-creates their folder, and I copy their pertinent information back into their particular folder (Favorites, Desktop etc.). However, one user in particular, recieves the error all the time. I've removed his folder under Documents and Settings, to no avail. I've removed his user account from Active Directory, and re-created it.....same error.
What should my next step be?
