    Accepted Solution

Please try telling Bitdefender to NOT scan incoming mail. This would be the fairly common (in my experience) solution.

Your ISP should scan all mail on the server anyways. You may want to ask them first, but I've worked for an ISP and the solution I'm suggesting was a very common fix, usually with Norton Antivirus though. (overzealous antivirus programs)
