Confused when exporting a flash movie

Hi,

I'm creating a flash movie which is essentially the left pane of my home page with various links. So, i create a rectagon of sorts, add dynamic duttons and I'm happy with it. Now, I want to add just that flash movie into an HTML table I've already created. BUT, when I do this (using DreamWeaver) the image becomes huge and throws off all the existing page formats?

any ideas?

Cheers

Dreamweaver will alter both the size of EMBED and OBJECT parameters when using the properties box, meaning you don't have to go in and edit code directly.

If you are using version MX04, you can press the RESET SIZE button on the properties box at the bottom of the screen (click Window >> Properties), and then continue editing the size.

If the above solution doesn't work, please post a link to your page and we can take a look...

Do you mean the Flash file that's embedded is too large and affects the remaining HTML formatting?  If so, you can use the W & H parameters to set it's size in the properties box.

Make sure you have width and height set correctly both in the <object> and the <embed> tag.
If you don't the flash file will be enlarge to the size of its container (table cell, window or div).

Example:
---------------------
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="150" height="240">
  <param name="movie" value="MyFlashmovie.swf">
  <param name="quality" value="high">
  <embed src="images/side_001.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="150" height="240"></embed>
</object>
