Cisco router 1721 plus 2 serial wics and two ips on fa0

Please help,,

I have two serial wics. One at 64kps and the other at 384kps.

I have two subnets of public IPs.

What I would like to do is force 1 subnet thru the first serial and the 2nd subnet thru the second serial.

My fa0 is using a secondary IP.

So what is te problem? Give IP add from 1 subnet to WIC1 and IP address from 2 subnet to WIC2. Why you have to have two addresses on fa0? Please, provide more information about your topology. You wan't want to have the same subnets on different interfaces (wic - fa0) unless ...?

Hi,

I have two subnets which are public IPs.

With router rip and ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 serial 0.1, what happens is if I try to telnet an IP on WIC2 I dont get a reply.

Try this (for example):

WIC 1 - 192.168.0.0/30
WIC 2 - 192.168.0.4/30

Inside Subnet 1 - 10.0.0.0/24
Inside Subnet 2 - 10.0.1.0/24

interface fastethernet0/0
ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
ip address 10.0.1.0 255.255.255.0 secondary
ip policy route-map traffic

interface serial0/0.1
ip address 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.252

interface serial1/0.1
ip address 192.168.0.5 255.255.255.252

route-map traffic permit 10
match address 1
set interface serial0/0.1

route-map traffic permit 20
match address 2
set interface serial1/0.1

access-list 1 permit 10.0.0.0 0.0.0.255
access-list 2 permit 10.0.1.0 0.0.0.255

Subnet 1 traffic (10.0.0.0/24) will be routed out interface serial0/0.1 and Subnet 2 traffic (10.0.1.0/24) will be routed out interface serial1/0.1.
