is there a tool that would allow me to examine the connections open to a particular database and see what locks they've got?

i've got an app where multiple executables edit a database in parallel - and i'm debugging some bugs and it would be really useful to be able to see what exe has the connections open, adn what table they're accessing etc. and where they're acquiring locks
