vbNullString in vb.net

Does anybody know what the equivalant command to vbNullSting in Visual Basic .net?  Shoulc chr(0) work in its place?

For comparison, I believe you use "Nothing" in place of "vbNullString".

As in :


If tmpString = Nothing Then ....

vbNullString in .Net is vbNullString, as in:

    Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
        Dim myValue As String
        myValue = "dlorenz"
        MsgBox(myValue)
        myValue = vbNullString
        MsgBox(myValue)
    End Sub

My mistake.  vbNullString does work in .net.  However, it looks like nothing will work as well.
