IIS Logs

Morning all..

we have a CMS , windows 2003 server and IIS 6. The Cms is designed in ASP/VBScript. We have purchased web trends and for some reason, when we look in the IIS logs, 85% of the time, the hits for main.asp arent logged. However the other 15% logs with just main.asp page= then the page id, so example main.asp page=1242 when in fact it should be main.asp?page=1242... We have tried using just static pages and custom built ASP pages and these log fine.. its just when its trying to log main.asp pages... Have you got any idea of whats happening?

Cheers

when you say "when we look in the IIS logs", do you mean you're looking at the log files themselves or at the output web trends gives you? If you're looking at the web trends output, can you check if it's the same way in the IIS log file itself? Also, which version of web trends are you using?

Hi,

Have you mentioned here, how your problem has been solved by yourself....no where you mentioned in the posts ! now how solved somewhere else..?

If you got solution, then why don't you immediatly update the question here.... ? This is just wasting the Experts Time isn't IT?

i think Moderator has to look @ this comments here and do necessary as well!

listen rama, if your that desperate for the points and that it will stop your moaning, u can have them, the actual issue that we had was permissions, ur answer/soultion didnt fix the issue.

MOD... since Rama is so desperate for the points, to stop him moaning, please give him them.
> ..  problem was solved else were ..
either post the solution and you get a refund, or the question will be closed with no refund

The idea behind that behaviour is not to satisfy point-gatheres, but to be fair to future readers which have to "pay" for reading the comments (including these useless ones):
Hello Dale,

have you gone thru. my last message... ! And the points what u r talking about here...

I am not asking your points, if you do anything it should be in proper way.. ! if you understand its OK...or else...

NO NEED U R POINTS !

Any way All the Best !

Unless the Asker posts their solution here, there should be no refund....
I dont want the points refunded. Please assign to Rama

Venabili.. soultion as follows:

permissions not set on the webtrends server to use SID. Issue was to do with webtrends and the cms not talking to each other...
