User permission

windows server2000
I have a network share, with everyone set to full control in share permission and into security too.Share is called users.
Every users has its folder name with full controll permission only. Administrator has full control too.
No other users or group are in.
So each user can access the folder with permission. Let's say fran can access fran's folder and not jhon's one.
The problem is fran can delete jhon folder.
How can I avoid such behaviour.
Thank you

You need to change the ntfs permissions for the "users" share so that you take away the delete rights for that folder.  Since you have given everyone full control that folder then they can delete folders from it. Changing this will prevent users from deleting any folders from the main folder.

Right click your main share folder and choose properties and go to the security tab:

Click on the advanced button and then click on the everyone group and choose edit

Under name, you should see a box that says "apply onto". You want to set this to "this folder only"

Next, you will see a list of individual permissions.

You either want to uncheck allow or check deny for these two permissions:

delete subfolders/files

That should keep your users from deleting each other's folders.
