Can i create an icon for a visual studio program i am making and get it to be accessable by VS?  (ico file)

I would like to use FireworksMX 2004 to create an icon for a program i am writing.  Can i do this and change it so that it is an .ico file?  I also have flash, freehand but not photoshop... could download the trial if i needed to.

    Well you just have to create it and then convert it. IconDeveloper is a good one
    There are many others but I prefer icondeveloper. If you have to have a free one (icondeveloper is limited in the free form) check out this sourceforge project or this one
