I have a Windows SBS 2003 server that is loosing it licensing informantion every couple of days. We will get call saying the users are unable to login and then we know the licenses are gone and must be re-entered. It shows the license as active and installed but as you refresh the screen they all disappear. So I have to re-enter all the SBS2003 license number and reactivate them or else the users will not be able to login. Suggestion on what may be causing the licenses to be lost.

    Accepted Solution

The issue is probably due to your AV software scanning the license files and not beign friendly to them.  Just configure your antivirus not to scan the C:\windows\system32\ file and the c:\windows\system32\lls folder and you should be all set.
