How to change the default UPN suffix

If you have a single forest with multiple domains and you create a user in Child.Parent.local, the default UPN suffix is Parent.Local. How do we change this so that the default is Child.Parent.local?

Thanks Joe but that doesn't address my question.  I want to change what the default selection is under ADUC.  It always defaults to the parent UPN and not the child UPN.

You gave a link to an article that you have to subscribe for the solution, which really does not solve the issue for the users here for this site.  Can it be clarified how this is solved at the OU level?
