I am getting the following errors when trying to send email from one persons mailbox on Exchange 5.5
all services are up and working and others have no problems at all
Outlook 2003 configured in cache mode

Error - Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.'
Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Sending' reported error (0x80040115) : 'The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.'

Any ideas?

You mught want to fix their Outlook.  Start by testing with it out of cached mode.

I have a similar problem to this with a user that has Outlook 2003. One user in the office gets an error message "Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported eror (0x80040115): The conection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or conected to complete this action." The user seems to be sending and receiving emails fine, but this error is still reported, and no one else in the office receives this error. Oulook is not in cached mode. Please help

Hi,

We have this problem with users over VPN, untick the Outlook 2003 configured in cache mode and this will fix it.

Good luck!

As I noted earlier, and as BHEIRE noted, take it out of cached mode.  Exchange 5.5 does not play well with cached mode.

It was a darned shame that someone opened a 20 point question, got good advice, and didn't have the courtesy to close the question.
