Address DB

I'm trying to use the address book on my palms ( some have Address v.4.0, others v.3.5) in a program that I am modifying.  I am trying to access it (open it) by name.  Can someone tell me what the name of the Address DataBase is?   Also can you tell me where I can get more info (field names, how it is sorted, ect.) about the Address database?

the following palm database holds the actual address data:

db name: AddressDB
creator: addr
type: DATA
resource DB: no

as this is a regular (i.e., not a resource type) database, you can fetch entries simply by opening records (API functions DmGetRecord etc.).

regarding the structure, this web site has only a little piece of information, yet it was the best i could find:

http://www.tabdee.ltd.uk/Downloads/Faqs.html   (it contains a section titled "What is the structure of the Palm Address Book database?")

if you use this information and a resource editor, it shouldn't be difficult to reverse-engineer the structure by creating some sample entries and see what they look like in the database.
