Outlook sync with Treo 600, won't sync calendar items

Attemping to sync a Treo 600 with Outlook 2003.  Just upgraded from 2002.  It was having the same problem before upgrading.  Other items are coming in, but calendar items won't sync.  There shouldn't be any items from before 1970 as it says in the error message.  Any idea's?
