Object doesn't not support this property of method

Can anyone tell me why I get "Object doesn't not support this property or method" on this line:

strIndex = strTimeTemp1.indexOf(".");

Thanks!

strTimeTemp1 is a string, and I found the solution. I had to do this:

strTimeTemp1 = new String(strTimeTemp1)
strIndex = strTimeTemp1.indexOf(".")
0

maybe you think that it's string and it is not.
use typeof to see what is it:
====================
alert(typeof(strTimeTemp1))

Great job finding the answer!

Although I do believe strTimeTemp1 was not a string before since you had to convert it into a string. Try what devic suggested if you want to make sure :-)
