Intel Pentium 4 microprocessor that runs at 2.0 to Intel Celeron that runs at 2.4

Intel Pentium 4 microprocessor that runs at  2.0 to Intel Celeron that runs at  2.4.
I have a dell 4550 that has Intel Pentium 4 microprocessor that runs at  2.0 and I have a dell 2400 that has Intel Celeron that runs at  2.4. The question is can I swap processors? Is Pentium 4 better then a Celeron?

Good reference for comparison of various cpus.
In this case, it would seem that the higher clocked Celeron has a marginal advantage. They are close...why bother.

It has:

Socket 478

Both P4 2.0 and Celeron 2.4 Ghz support socket 478 with 400Mhz system bus speed.

Soooo you should have no problem in swapping them.

When comparing the specs on processor P4 will definetly work better than Celeron as it has higher L1 /L2 cache.
