moving the mdb data directory from the c:\program files\exchsvr directory to a d: drive on the same server

I have exchange 2003 mail server standard edition. I would like to move the mdbdata directory from teh c:\program files \ exchsvr to the D: drive on the same server as space in the C drive is low.

Can it be done? If possible, can you please let me know the steps involved and also the risks involved.
