When doing personal stuff online, the Connect dialog for my employer's VPN pops up sometimes. &nbsp;I would prefer to disable the VPN connection (just like I can disable my wireless connection while physically connected to a network).<br />

In FireFox, this is an annoyance at some sites (<a href="http://forum.zonelabs.org" rel="ugc">http://forum.zonelabs.org</a>, for example). &nbsp;In IE (which I use very little) it is a show-stopper.<br />

I'm using WinXP Pro and its built-in VPN client.<br />

Unwanted VPN Connect

A virtual private network (VPN) is a network that uses a public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or travelling users access to a central organizational network securely.
