I already made sure that the local SQL user has the right permissions to the database.  After all, we havne't changed anything lately and it was running fine with this user.

What else could it be??  The ASP is fine that is referencing the database, and is the same script we are using in other apps at this moment which are running fine.

Are you creating a large query here?  Have you tried alloting a longer timeout period?

we actually found out that our network guys changed DNS items.  So we had some of our asp apps referecing server.domain.com where domain.com changed in the DNS.  I just took off domain.com in my ASP connection string.
