Would i have to do a database repair???

I would if it needs it.  If you've never run eseutil before on the database, allow for a long time--I don't know the size of it.  Also, after killing the Exchange services, you should backup the database BEFORE running eseutil, in case an issue arises.

Defragging the database should be straight forward, and if you run into issues, restoring your offline backup of the database can be your plan B; however, the defrag should go just fine.
