LANE vs CIP over ATM

MrChartWars asked
Last Modified: 2010-04-10
Hi guys,
I'm currently studying for a networking exam and am going over a few test questions, one of which is "Contrats LANE with Classical IP over ATM" - i've searched around for an answer but no joy, is the main difference that CIP over ATM requires higher layer protocol changes i.e. those which make assumptions about the LAN or is there more to the story? Any help would be hugely appreciated, it's also kinda urgent (leaving things to the last minute as usual) hence the large no of points available :o)

Thanks in advance
