Am I misplacing or just not seeing why my code is blowing up?

I get an error of "ExecuteReader is not a member of 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection'

        Dim MyConnection As SqlConnection
        Dim MyCommand As SqlDataAdapter

        Dim sSQL As String = "SELECT Content FROM Cats_About " _
                                & " WHERE ID = @ID"

        MyConnection = New SqlConnection(System.Configuration.ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings("PubsString"))
        myCommand = New SqlDataAdapter(sSQL, MyConnection)

        myCommand.SelectCommand.Parameters.Add(New SqlParameter("@Id", SqlDbType.NVarChar, 11))
        myCommand.SelectCommand.Parameters("@Id").Value = Request.QueryString("id")

        MyConnection.Open()
        Dim oDataReader As SqlDataReader
        oDataReader = MyConnection.ExecuteReader()
        Do While oDataReader.Read() = True
            lblContent.Text = oDataReader("content")
        Loop
        oDataReader.Close()
