Where's the MINIDUMP file?

We have XP's minidump file set for %systemroot\Minidump and everything looks fine.  Pagefile.sys is set on the boot drive but when the system generates a BSOD at random while in Windows creating a Stop Error: 0x0000007a  there is no minidump created.  Why is that?  Norton is not installed but McAfee is.  The system is a Dell Dimension and we've used the supplied Image Restore 3x to restore the system back to factory settings but still the BSOD problem occurs with no minidump file.

How do i get XP to actually create a minidump file for analysis?  Why doesnt it write any file?  Is there a registry setting which could have been modified but one of these pre-installed Dell, MusicMatch, McAfee apps?  Perhaps a BOOT.INI switch could be the cause?
