Is there a way to add a disclaimer to Exchange 2000 outgoing emails without using VBScripting.
I was wondering if there is a way to add disclaimers to outgoing emails in Exchange 2000 without the need to involve VB Scripting and the Exchange SDK. Right now, we use GFI Mail Essentials for anti-spam and it also tacks on a disclaimer to outgoing emails. I will be removing GFI soon and need an alternative to what it offers for disclaimers. I found the articles in technet but they seem too complex. I was wondering if something else was available.

Thanks for this info. We just installed two Barracuda network applicances on our DMZ and all incoming mail now passes through them. They do such a good job of eliminating spam, we do not need GFI anymore. I'll look into the free version. When you say free, you mean unlicensed, correct? Where can I get this free version?

Thanks. Its not so much the anti-spam feature but more so the hooks that the product itself put into the SMTP service that I believe is causing the problems. These same hooks are used by the disclaimer service also so I think I just need to go with another solution. I will check out the exclaimer.com site. I am hoping they have a product that just does disclaimers and nothing else. Problem is, this may cause the same problem that GFI is causing. I am not sure how many Exchange Admins really use the Delivery Restriction tab on the SMTP Connector. There is a somewhat hard to find Registry hack that needs to be done just to get it to work. Something the help file doesn't mention.
We use eXclaimer ( http://www.exclaimer.com/ )
By the way, why are you uninstalling MailEssentials? In case you didn't know, the free version of MailEssentials includes the disclaimer ability...and free is hard to beat :)
