Any Danger in Disabling AutoDisconnect for Drive mappings?

To backup my network, I have 2 small servers running Nero BackitUp, copying files to the main server which has a large tape drive.  The tape drive backs up the Main server, which has the files from the other servers on it also.

However, to use Nero, the drive mapping cannot be disconnected.  I think there is a default 15 disconnect for drive mappings to be let go in Server 2003.  I have disabled this disconnect option by using

net server config /autodisconnect:-1

Is there any danger here?  I have read that it may cause performance problems, but can't see how.

Anyone have any bad experiences with this or have any opinions...

Thanks
