Error 4 when merging partitions in Partition Magic

I'm trying to merge partitions D: and C: (on same physical drive) into one partition, using Partition Magic. I successfully did this merging E: with D:, but I'm getting errors when I try merging D: into C:.

The error I get is:
===============
Error 4 while executing Batch.

Error 4. Bad argument/parameter

Will now restart.
===============

What should I do to make this work? :(

I get this error on the restart when it is trying to merge the partitions by running the Partition Magic batch file, by the way.

are you possibly trying to merge a Fat32 partition with an NTFS one?

If so convert the FAT32 drive to NTFS

The support pages for Partition Magic were much better when PowerQuest was the owner of the software, than now when Symantec owns it.  Anyhow, here is a page at their support site about that error.  Hope it helps.

I am merging a NTFS partition with another NTFS partition.

I read the article, and I don't see how it will help in my situation because I do not fulfill the criteria.

Gary_King, if my comment did not solve your problem, then you shouldn't have accepted it as answer.  If you come back, I will mark it as unanswered.

Are you sure?  Did you run the PartitionInfo program to see if it gave you the error codes that mentioned on the page I gave the link for?  By the way, the PartitionInfo program may be named PartInfo.  I bought my copy of Partition Magic 8 when it was still made by PowerQuest and I have that program on my system, but nothing called PartitionInfo; I am assuming that Symantec may have renamed the program when they took it over...
