Hi
Does the error on startup always refear to  USBPORT.SYS?
If so, try to reinstall your USB-Drivers, or/and your chipset-drivers.
If not, try to restart te computer with other memory-modules.

Did you install or change any drivers before this problem arrived ??

Yes, I installed few days ago a web camera and an USB20-PCI/6P PCI host adapter card, as I had problems with my computer's USB ports. But all worked fine for 5 days.
Tried to use initially the old USB port  for the web camera, but today, after I saw the error message I changed it to one of the new USB ports.
Now it seems to works OK, but can I be sure ?
Thank you,
Gabriela
Did you install SP2 recently?
Its a known problem, that after the installation of SP2 some USB-Peripherals can't be recognised anymore! Changing the Port, or reinstalling the driver may solve this problem.

If the error message isn't apearing anymore, your system should work fine again, but I would check the RAM-Modules after all!

Gobi
I installed SP2 monthes ago and had no problems.
I wanted to understand more about the error messages I received if you can tell me.
I don't know how to check the RAM-Modules or what you mean by that.
I'll try to restart the system again to see if the same messages appear and tell you.

Hi cpc2004,

The only two 1001 events that are with the source 'Save dump'  (the others have the source SNMP) are the following:

1.) ------
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0xf805da5e, 0xf8989794, 0xf8989490). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
2.) ------
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0x004e0059, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf80a34ec). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP.

More comments:
1. I want to say that when the error state occures the screen was black, not blue !
2. I knew that my computers USB ports were default. This is the reason for which I bought the USB20-PCI/6P PCI host adapter card. Could this be the cause of the Windows crash ? I think of that because after I moved the camera jack to a new USB port all works well finally.

Thank you,
Gabriela
