Run Macro In Microsoft Word 2000


is it possible to run a macro in a word document from my .net application?  If it is possible, how can i do this?

Yes, this is quite possible!

Add a reference to Microsoft Word to your .NET project and try the following code:

        Dim word As New Word.ApplicationClass
        Dim doc As Word.Document = word.Documents.Open("C:\Doc5.doc")

This runs a macro called "DoTheThing" in the opened document.

If you create a word application object, open a document with it and then run something like:


try it.
