Additional IPs for cable

If I purchased a few more IPs from Comcast (if this is even possible), could I emulate a production environment?

I want to have a "block" of public IPs so I can practice configuring them with my cisco stuff.  Anyone know if this is possible? Can a cable modem support multiple IPs?

Thanks

Why not just use private addresses and practice in a lab not connected to the Internet.  You can do everything you want to do with private addresses (just not connect from the Internet).

I see. Good point.

Actually, I could use public addresses if I wanted to as well, right? I would just have to keep the network off of the internet.

JFrederick29Commented:
Sure, if it helps you visualize things better you can use "real" IP addresses.
