Error Type 2 Messsage

I have a G3 that is running Mac OS 9.2. Whenever I try to print from acrobat or Illustrator I get the following message.
"the application "acrobat reader 5.0" has inexpectedly quit, because an error of typr 2 accured"

"the application "Adobe Illustrator 10" has inexpectedly quit, because an error of typr 2 accured"

What can I do?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Albert1809,
Here is a link from the apple site on how to troubleshoot type 2 errors along with type 1 or type 3 as well.   If you have installed any applications or anything recently, before it started, that would probably be a good place to start, and then you do not have to go thru everything, if that turns out to be it.

Another thing to try is to increase the amount of memory that those applications use, by doing a command-I or "Get Info" and changing the amount of memory to a higher value (make sure that you have enough as well).
