Upgrading from Windows XP Pro to Windows Server 2003 Standard

Before I jump the gun and try something that I will probably regret, I was planning on installing Windows 2003 Server Standard onto my existing Windows XP Pro (SP1).  Is it possible to do this?  If it is not, will it simply overwrite all my programs and hard drive or will I get warned that it is not possible?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You cannot upgrade from XP to 2003.  You can dual boot and have both on the system, with probably few if any issues.
