Get wireless connection information

Please can someone help me, I would like to get the information regarding a wireless connection e.g. signal strength, noise and connection speed. I am a beginner with C# but have used other languages and don’t know where to start with c# so any information will greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi

To work with wireless connection, APs i suggest that you need to understand how wireless connections work, i.e., 802.11 connections, then you can work with OID calls which are used to work with wireless network adapters, which adhere to NDIS specification given by Microsoft.

Microsoft has also provided a sample intermediate driver named NDISUIO, which works with wireless network adapters. If you wish you work with NDIS OID calls, you can make the calls directly using DLLImport (.Net Interop).

You can go through www.ndis.com to get started.

Hope it helps
