I have a machine running Windows 2000 Pro. I removed an HP scanner before installing a new Epson scanner. &nbsp;The Epson will not scan because the software sees another scanner still active. &nbsp;I have removed all possible traces of the old scanner in software but the C:\WINNT\twain_32 and some sub-directories get re-installed at boot-up and I think that is causing the trouble. &nbsp;If I boot WindowsXP from another drive the Epson scanner works ok. &nbsp;This drive has never had another scanner installed.<br />
What can be re-installing this directory or stopping the Epson software from working?<br />

New scanner won't work - sees old scanner?

Windows 2000 is an operating system for use on both client and server computers.
