Load an SWF with loadMovie

Hi,

I have a seperate .swf file which works when running on it's own. However, when I use date_mc.loadMovie("datepicker.swf") it does not initialize the movie at all.

My datepicker.swf contains code like:

onData = function(){
      // ** maak datum selectie aan
      var i:Number, j:Number;
      var yOffset:Number = 21;
      var mcTMp:MovieClip = null;
      for(i=0;i<6;i++){
            for(j=0;j<7;j++){
                  with(this.attachMovie("mc_day_full", "testblok"+i+""+j, this.getNextHighestDepth())){
                        _x = (j * 18)+6;
                        _y = (i * 18)+24+yOffset;
                  }
            }
      }
      setPickDate(new Date());
}

This works when run alone.

When I have a datepicker_container.swf, which contains code like:
date_mc.loadMovie("datepicker.swf", "get")
then the .swf IS being loaded (i can see the visual), but the onData handler is never called.

What should I do so that it will work?

Regards,
CJ.

Try adding:

this._lockroot = true;
onData = function(){
     // ** maak datum selectie aan
     var i:Number, j:Number;
     var yOffset:Number = 21;
     var mcTMp:MovieClip = null;
     for(i=0;i<6;i++){
          for(j=0;j<7;j++){
               with(this.attachMovie("mc_day_full", "testblok"+i+""+j, this.getNextHighestDepth())){
                    _x = (j * 18)+6;
                    _y = (i * 18)+24+yOffset;
               }
          }
     }
     setPickDate(new Date());
}

Doesn't make any difference. The onData is still not called.
