How to configure SCSI HDD of HP X4000 WORKSTATION?

I have HP X4000 WORKSTATION with SCSI HDD and no operating system. I am trying to install os MS 2000 server but it says no HD.
Do I need some extra software or utility to install HD? Please guide me in detail and step by step as I am not much technical guy.

you are going to have to load a scsi driver using the f6 button, what you will have to do is find out what type of scsi controller the system is using and get the appropriate driver, put it on a floppy, when you boot to your OS CD, you will see a message at the bottom of the screen saying "press f6 if you need to install a 3rd party scsi driver" or something like f6, wait until it gives you the option to press 's' to specify, press s, put in the floppy containing the driver and press enter, select the appropriate controller from the list and it should be able to recognize the drive (provided that the controller is recognizing the drive, it is right?)
good luck
