I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

more info.... printer model/netcard model

for the most part... when you change a netcard out... the MAC address may throw the network a curve, and you will need to reset it............      but I have had HP printers with netcards replaced... that jumped right on the bandwagon

its a 4050n laser jet

the MAC address may throw the network a curve, and you will need to reset it..

when you say reset it give it a new ip address

sorry, meant reset the printer properties (reacquire the printer as it were). You can either set the printer back up thru the control panel on the 4050... or if you are using the HP wizard... it will install another printer.. then delete the old one

great printer by the way
