Memory chip,graphics adapter driver,soundmax requirements.

I want to install memory, video driver and Soundmax software in a computer with the following details:
System manufacturer: VIA Technologies.Inc
System Model: VT8363
Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 3 Stepping 1AuthenticAMD ~702
OS:Win 2k

Do anyone there knows the appropriate memory, video driver and soundmax software?

Thank you.

your question is vague but the best thing to do is windows update
and look on manufacturers websites for drivers
more details as to the products would enable us to help you more

That is the only information I was able to retrieve using WinMSD. I think the system is old for that matter.

About the memory I heard someone saying it does not matter what the computer is. But others says it matters. What do you know about that? About Soundmax and Graphics adapter driver I know it matters, but the requirements is a problem to me.

Like Nep1 suggested the best thing to do in this situation is to search the internet. Have a look at the manufacturer's websites, or just do a search on google and see what comes up.

memory should not be a problem unless your mixing types eg sdram/ddr/edo
basic rule of thumb if there is a slot and it fits its ok :D
for the soundcards and graphics cards try and find the model no from the actual cards
then search their manufacturers website for the specific drivers

not much to add, but ................    pull the cover off the box... and lets have a look at any and all part numbers on the mainboard.

other than the fact it is an AMD processor, with a VIA chipset.... not much to go on

as to the memory..... it would be a shame to get this booger together, and have it not work because of the wrong memory..........       get us the info on the mainboard... we can get you on the road to zanzibar muy pronto

You've got good suggestions already, just let me add this:

You can get more information using Everest software from http://www.lavalys.com. The program can generate a report too. If you don't want to go online, use System Information.

:)

Hope this helps!
