Convert Crystal Report from version 9 to version 8.5

I have a crystal report developed in Crystal Reports 9.  I have a client that needs the report in version 8.5.  Upgrading/Downgrading is a non-desirable option at this point, but I don't see version options in the "Save As" dialog.  Is there another way, either in the application or some 3rd party tool to convert this file between versions?

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sorry, but there is absolutely no way to convert a version 9 report to version 8.5. Furthermore version 9 reports can not be opened in version 8.5, you will need to recreate the report in the correct version or use a 3rd party viewer at the client site.

That's what I was afraid of.  It's also ridiculous.  I'll give you the points once I figure out what course of action I will pursue.

Thanks.

Crystal drastically changed the whole mechanics of Crystal reports at version 9 to incorporate a Unicode layer which wasn't available in previous versions.

True. this is not possible.  That's why before converting, we should take copy/backup of these reports. Once we convert these to higher version, then we can revert back to the lower version. Also, we can't open these in the older version.
