Exmerge error: Error opening message store when trying to export a mailbox
I am trying to export some mailboxes to pst files and it's my first time using ExMerge. The LDAP link seems to work good and I can see all of the mailboxes even though there is an LDAP error in the log, but when I go to the export I get the error. See the log entry below. I'm running this from the exchange server while logged in as the domain administrator so I don't see how it could be a permissions problem.

Can you access these mailboxes using Outlook when you are logged in as the account you are using to run EXMERGE?
If not then it is a permissions problem.
A domain administrator does not necessarily have the ability to access other users mailboxes by default.

I tried adding the administrator to the Exchange Domain Servers group but that didn't work.
I gave the domain admin group full control of the mail store and that didn't work.
I used an account that was both a domain admin and an exchange admin and I was able to extract the mailbox.
So thanks, I didn't know that the administrator didn't have access to do that.
