Tape Library purchase options

I'm looking at purchasing a tape library and near line storage for a medium sized company with roughly 70 servers and 200 workstations.  For the tape library it seems to have come down to a choice between the Qualstar RLS series and the Spectra Logic T120.

For the near line storage I've been looking at the Nexsan's ATAbeast or ATAboy (silly names I know).

My question is what experiences has anyone or anyone you know had of these and based on that which would you recommend.

Thanks.

I have had very little experience with Qualstar libraries so I have no comment on them, but I have had with Spectra Logic and have not come across any problems with them. So my vote has to go for the Spectra Logic.

Also it is my recommendation to go with the LTO instead of the AIT drives. I have seem many fewer problems with the LTO than I have seen with AIT.

Thanks. What about S-AIT?
dovidmichelCommented:
I know the S-AIT have all the things we want, capacity, throughput, ect. However it is just that for what ever reason I have come across more problems with those systems.

So although I am ready to admit they are great, reliable, and I'm sure there are many users that never had a problem, from my perspective my recommendation is for LTO over AIT.

Actually my favorite is SDLT 600 because it has the same level of reliability I have seen with LTO, and it also has the advantage of being able to use standard tapes for WORM. What with the new laws I'm seeing a lot more use of WORM for compliance.
