When installing an older program under XP I get  "Shadow has caused a General Protection Fault in module"

I'm posting the solution...

In the XP control panel, change the language setting to English (united states).
Reboot.
Install the program.  No shadow install error this time.
Change language back to your preferred option.
Reboot. Play program.

This problem is caused by a conflict with another program running (or leaving residuals in memory) when the install program is trying to run.

   1.  Restart your computer and ensure that no other programs are running
   2. Reinstall the program.

Thanks Lee.....maybe it's not your call, but quite honestly...
The 'rules,' layout, and "where to what" of this website leave a lot to be desired for the occasional user, especially since I'm paying for the privilege. I don't have the time to become an expert ABOUT the experts-exchange.  So whoever can make the changes... it would be nice to have an organizational model that's more obvious to the occasional paying user.
