I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no (real) LDAP authentication with CFLDAP, its more to query an LDAP server not to authenticate to.
If you need authentication for your itnranet, disable anonymous access in your webserver and the brwoser will take care of it, the user details are in the cgi vars, just dump them.

Hi Anup001,
I am not sure if you need code for authenticating a user!? And Tacobell777 is correct " there is no real ldap authentication"... But you can use the queries to authenticate a user. Here's a KB from macromedia on how to do it:

Hope this helps.

yes thats is the only way to see if a user exists in LDAP, and its a nasty way of doing it. Not the right way.
