There is no (real) LDAP authentication with CFLDAP, its more to query an LDAP server not to authenticate to.<br />
If you need authentication for your itnranet, disable anonymous access in your webserver and the brwoser will take care of it, the user details are in the cgi vars, just dump them.

yes thats is the only way to see if a user exists in LDAP, and its a nasty way of doing it. Not the right way.
