I'm not sure if there's anything visibly wrong here. My latest problem is that I can not check my email. I can go to the hotmail website, but when i type in my user name and password, the page says that it can not display. what the f? the pop-ups that i'm getting are mostly just my Norton INternet Security popping up every three seconds saying the program
c:\ProgramFiles\Cas\Client\casclient.exe is attempting to access the internet.  I continue to block it.  This also happens with the program wupdte.exe and gkfzgvhqcfx.exe.  I actually haven't tried to check my email since the big clean up i just did, so i'll go try it now. but i doubt it will work.

thanks a lot for your help.

For future reference, instead of posting the entire log here, you can post it at http://www.hijackthis.de/ and post a link to the analyzed file here.

I did this for you, and it is at:

I would suggest removing anything listed as "Nasty" there. Also take a close look at the items listed as "Unknown" there. The following seem very suspicious:

I would disable or remove all the above (plus the Nasty items) and then run HijackThis again. If the analysis is not clean please post a link to the new analysis.

Great. Thanks for the feedback.

In looking over the new log, I notice nail.exe and nupi.exe are still there. I am about 90% sure these are undesirable. If you can't get rid of them please post back and I'll send some tips. Thanks.
