Apache does not appear in my win2003 services console. Is that normal?

this is what I'm dealing with if you want to know the background: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Web_Servers/IIS/Q_21481495.html

I'm expecting apache to be there in my win2003 services console and its not. Is there something I need to do first. I'd hate to have all this in some start up script and it not run right.

You musr register apache server as service. go to cmd where apache is instaled (apache/bin) and run

apache -k install

that way you will set apache as service and then you will se it in servics console

cheers

awesome. I'll try this real quick. I have svn (sorta like cvs) I'd like to run as a service as well. Do you think I could run the same parameters on it to do this? If you're not familiar with svn, that's ok, I'll probably create another question.

thanks!
gruntarCommented:
Unfortunately I don't know svn. Those additional parameters are not same for all applications, so you should check manual for paramateres that are available for that application (if any). I should say that not all programs can be run as a service.

Cheers
