vb6 + xml + cr9

hi everyone. im having a problem making a report usig xml as the data source. i have a client-server application. the server stores the db so i need to send the data as an xml to the client. the client in turn then displays the xml in cr9. the problem is i do not know how to use cr9 with xml. i downloaded some articles and they say that it is necessary to create a dsn (in the control panel) using a driver. is it posibble to create this report without dsn? i would like it very much if only vb6 and cr9 are the only programs i will use to implement this. thanks very much.

There is a Crystal Report XML driver and that you need to setup a System DSN.

The driver: CR ODBC XML Driver 4.10

You then have to point your XML file to this DSN connection and then be used by CR9. You can create the DSN through VB6 by adding entries to the registry.
You could try building your Crystal report based on a ttx file and use VB6 to build and ADO record.
